Access Health Abbotsford (AHA) brings together local talent and global expertise to design, finance, construct, and maintain the new state-of-the-art Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre in the Fraser Valley. The AHA team includes PCL Constructors Westcoast, MCM/Silver Thomas Hanley, Johnson Controls & Sodexho, John Laing Investments Abbotsford Ltd. and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. John Laing
John Laing Investments Abbotsford Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of John Laing Infrastructure Ltd. John Laing is a leading investment and management company, specializing in P3 social accommodation projects in the United Kingdom. John Laing is a leading independent investor, developer and operator of P3 projects and is committed to long-term partnerships. John Laing has significant expertise in developing and operating hospitals. The John Laing group operates and invests in over 50 PFI projects both in the U.K. and iinternationally.
Laing acquired an 81% interest in Access Health Abbotsford from Macquarie in January 2007 and has assumed responsibility for the overall project management of the AHA team.

In Canada, PCL is building, or has completed, health care projects in eight provinces and the three territories. Design services will be provided by MCM Architects and Silver Thomas Hanley (STH). MCM is a full service professional architecture firm and Silver Thomas Hanley's 25 years of design experience encompasses the full range of health care facilities including comprehensive cancer care facilities. The unique design requirements of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre project required an innovative global approach, hence the joining of two internationally renowned architectural firms.

Johnson Controls & Sodexho
Facility management services are to be provided by Johnson Controls and Sodexho. Johnson Controls is a leader in the development, integration and installation of building automation systems and controls. Johnson Controls' recent experience includes the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, and St. Johns Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. Sodexho is a leading facilities management services provider in North America. Sodexho has provided services to health care regions across Canada for more than thirty years, including working with the Calgary Health Region and Fraser Health.
